Known to teh public as the "Pagoda", the Mercedes W113 designed from the ground-up as the convertible is a comfortable, two seater touring car that replaced the 190 SL (W121) and the 300 SL Roadster (W198). The Pagoda's chassign was borrowed from the Mercedes-Benz 220 SE saloon was modified to suit the needs of the sports car. It's suspention was stiff, incredibly sporty and comfortable for the time. The body was characterised by smooth lines and the big, Mercedes-Benz star in the center of the front, chromed grille. The optional hardtop with it's concave roof was inspired by the japanese temples, and thanks to that, the car gained the nickname "Pagoda".
This example, equipped with the automatic gearbox went through the compleate restoration process. The car is equipped with air conditioning and an optional armrest.
