Mercedes-Benz A124 300CE-24

The 124 convertible is one of the most desired versions of the popular, mid-range Mercedes-Benz. In september of 1991 at the IAA Frankfurt motor show, the 5th body type of the mid-range Mercedes was revaled. Why did the clients had to wait for the car for 6 years ?

Mercedes had to engineere over 1000 new parts to stiffen the chassign of the car. In the case of all the construction elements, a thicker or more durable steel metal was used. Over 130 kg of additional wieght was necessary to compensate for 28 kg of the coupe roof. It was more than worth it, beacause the body, in it's steering stiffness is close to the saloon version and still safe. For the first time in 20 years Mercedes-Benz offered a 4-setter convertable.

The example offered by Legends Duda-Cars comes from The Netherlands. The car's engine was rebuild from the ground up. The car is in it's second paint (the car was repainted by the previous owner). The leather interior is not torned. The softtop works correctly.
