Mercedes-Benz 200CE (A124)

In 1991, at the IAA in Frankfurt am Main, Mercedes-Benz presented sunny prospects for the upper middle class.

The four-seater with a soft-top was part of the 124 series, which has been called the E-Class since 1993. This convertible played a special role in the development of the model range, as Mercedes finally after a 20-year had its four-seater with an open body.

The whole set of solutions applied in the car's body made it not only comfortable, but also as safe as a limousine, estate car or coupé. Its 43-kilogram retractable soft-top rests on a 27-piece frame with 34 joints. When folded down, it occupies only 80 litres, leaving sufficient luggage space. The A 124 was produced at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Sindelfingen and from 1992 to 1997 only 34,000 vehicles of this type left the factory.

The E 200 CE presented by Legends has a 136 HP four-cylinder engine. It is a part of the "Final Edition" series equipped with a distinct 5-hole AMG light alloys wheels, wide tyres and a dynamic, sporty suspension. The interior is really charming with its soft, dark leather and dark red wood.
