Mercedes-Benz 190SL (W121 B2)

Over the years, the 190 SL (W121), owned by Grace Kelly and Alfred Hitchcock just to name a few, became one of the most desired Mercedes-Benz models. It can be said that it became the real star, due to the fact that it could be seen in many movies. The car’s premiere took place in 1954, together with the 300 SL “Gullwing”, during the International Motorsport showroom in New York. One year later, the mass production of this small, 4-cylinder sportscar, started at the Sindelfingen plant.

The car was built on the basis of the basic, three-blocked Mercedes W120, but it was created as a roadster from the ground up. The body of the car was designed by Karl Wilfert and Walter Häcker, who were inspired by the 300 SL. This two-seater convertible was equipped with a folding softtop. Later, during the production years, the car could have been equipped with the hardtop as an option.

Fully restored 190SL with the colour scheme that matches the orginal, factory specification (Daten Karte). Pre-facelift version with the indicator switch integrated in the steering wheel. The future owner will be provided with the photo documentation of the restoration process, including the pictures of the base, painting process, bodywork fabrication and engine rebuliding process.
