Evolutionary constancy - such an oxymoron may describe the iconic G-Class, which at the time of its debut in 1979 was a typical off-road vehicle, but in the same angular form it was developed into a luxurious and versatile vehicle. Constant modifications to the design and technology make the legendary "G" look into the future without fear, attracting at the same time the attention of many loyal fans around the world.
The second-generation Mercedes Benz G-Class, presented in the autumn of 1989 at the Frankfurt Motor Show, was thoroughly modernized. The car with the factory code W463 has changed not only in technical terms, but also in its market positioning. With its luxurious W463 variant, it has become a retro SUV. The car, in contrast to W460/W461 models (the rear-wheel drive, attached front-wheel drive and manual differentials), is equipped with permanent four-wheel drive and electronically locked all differentials (front, central and rear). The W463 series also differs from the W460/W461 series by its interior, which surprises user with exclusive leather and wood.
The short-wheelbase vehicle that we are putting up for sale has a new paintwork, which was applied in the Legends renovation department to visually refresh the bodywork. Mercedes-Benz G300 has its original interior and is mechanically efficient. The beautiful Almandine Red colour perfectly harmonizes with the well-preserved grey fabric upholstery. The automatic transmission, air conditioning and sunroof will allow you to comfortably drive for many kilometres.
